The mission of the Catholic Choir Tanzania (UKWAKATA), the Catholic Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam, has been mentioned as the one that has been focusing on Evangelization through their Gospel compositions and songs. As a result of doing the work diligently and with praise and glory to God, the Assistant Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam, Mhashamu Stefano Musomba has congratulated the Choirs, he said that they are doing a great job despite the few flaws that appear which if corrected things will be better. Bishop Musomba said this at the UKWAKATA Jimbo ceremony, which was held at St. Bonaventura Parish, Kinyerezi during the celebration of the Holy Mass on Easter Monday, which this year had the motto "Let us sing to the Lord, in Spirit and truth." He said that singing and proclaiming the Risen Christ is an important thing that must go hand in hand with actions, the way they live, humility, obedience, the spirit of worship and piety by doing so so that everyone who sees them will say the truth that it is the announcement of the resurrected Christ. In addition, Bishop Msomba asked the Catholics to imitate the example of the women who went to see the Tomb, where Jesus Christ was buried and was given the news that he had risen, he ran to inform his disciples but when they met Jesus they fell down and prostrated themselves and worshiped him. He said it is not good to live by habits because sometimes habits are misleading and lead people not to observe the basics of Faith and receive the Holy Eucharist by habit. He urged the believers to make sure not to talk to themselves at the Lord's table and show a state of worship and humility in showing respect to God. "It's a matter for each of us to ask ourselves, especially when he goes to participate in the Holy Eucharist...you will see a priest telling someone the body of Christ and just looking at you, it's like he's never heard of a priest repeating the body of Christ, then he'll think he's being greeted and answer forever amen, he doesn't know what to do." said Bishop Msomba. Turning to the singers whose day it was, Bishop Musomba said they all need to show cooperation between teachers and their students, to remove pride, because there are some who do not sing like Utume, but like to show off that without him no one else can.
"During these 40 days, let me put away all my pride. Let me change my heart and give up all that is not good within me. Let me love God with all that I am and all that I have." —Genesis Grain.
